The latest article from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com was generated by a combination of my frustration with how hard my grandchildren are working on useless requirements in school, and a comment made by the Universal House of Justice (Bahá'í international governing body) in a treatise on creating prosperity. A great many changes in attitudes and behavior will need to occur before real progress towards peace and security, not to mention common wealth, can happen. Children should be educated towards a world view that encompasses not only the material but also the ethical skills required for success.

How Education Needs to Change
Educational systems focused on preparing students for a 19th Century world no longer work. What changes can be made to develop collective perspective in which consultation and collaboration can help humanity survive complex global problems?
