Okay, the votes are in: entire extended family (except grandson's dog) agree this is the Best Sunday Ever! We've been enjoying a thunderstorm for nine hours and counting! First of all, it doesn't rain here between May and September. Second, lightning and thunder rarely ever happen, and when they do, it will be a piddling few half-hearted ones (compared to the MidWest, for instance). So, we have been enjoying the show, which is record-breaking in so many ways. Fortunately there has been so much rain involved that brush fires are minimal, limited to a few smoldering trees and a couple power poles snapped off. Since there has been no wind to speak of, I assume a tree went down across wires. Power is out in rural areas (and some of those new electronic traffic lights have lost their 'minds' and are behaving erratically).
None of which info has anything to do with the latest article from the Baha'i site at BellaOnline.com. (Sorry about that!) This topic came out of some discussions last week about demon possession...
Do Bahá'ís Believe in Exorcism ?
I don't want to believe anything could force me to sin. But neither do I want to think I'm inherently capable of evil. Perhaps, believing "The Devil made me do it!" is a less shocking explanation. Bahá'ís, however, take a different perspective.
