Greetings everyone! Fall has been exquisite with all of the rich colors and beautiful weather.

Halloween will soon be here followed by a whirlwind of seasonal festivities. So many smells to look forward to of fresh baked apple and pumpkin breads and pies. No matter what, those scents bring back so many memories, lifting your spirit as well as everyone else's who get to share them with you! You never know when one of them just might make someone's day.

One of my favorite piecrust recipes follows below. I can't keep a pumpkin pie in this house for more than a day or two:


Buttery Pie Crust Recipe

6 T of sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 ½ cups flour
8 T butter
8 T Crisco
2-4 T ice water

(I like to break in the ingredients with my fingertips. You may use a fork as well.)
