Computer Virus Warning: My computer got attacked by a virus called Spyware Protect2009. According to the helpful and nice people from the Geek Squad at Best Buy, this virus has the potential to record your key strokes, thereby getting lots of personal information. They immediately suggested I contact anyone I do banking and shopping with online, which I did prior to going to Best Buy when I got that “What in the world just happened to my computer” feeling.

This virus came out of nowhere, and I didn’t download anything or click any links at all. It appeared as a legitimate virus alert from Windows, and it clearly wasn’t. I'll post another update next week, when I hope to have my computer back and virus free!

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled newsletter:

Speaking of social networking, if you are on a site like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc., or have your own blog, I'd love to talk with you. I'm working on a future article that will feature moms, dads, and kids, who have created their own social networking page, site, or blog relating to cooking and kids.

Please e-mail me at cookingforkids@bellaonline.com for more information, or reply to this message.

What’s coming up next on the Cooking for Kids Site:

Meal plans, cooking schools, product reviews, interviews, and recipe requests!

If you have a recipe request, you can e-mail it to me at cookingforkids@bellaonline.com, or post it on the Cooking for Kids forum.

What’s happening on the Cooking for Kids Forum?

I started a new feature on the forum called “What‘s for Dinner?”

This is an ongoing thread where you can read what others are having for dinner, especially on those days when you’re out of dinner ideas. Also, you can post your own recipe ideas to share with others.

I hope that eventually, this thread will have pages of different dinner ideas and suggestions. Then, the next time you don’t have a clue what to fix, you can pop over to the thread and get an idea.

Also on the forum...

Funny cooking stories, the ABC “Sweets and Treats” Game, discussions about the challenges that arise when cooking for kids, and lots more!
