Do you feel that? The crispness in the air; the smell of wood smoke curling around your nose; the crunch of breaking leaves under your feet. You know what that means--Halloween is just around the corner!

I'm off in a few hours to one of the last Medieval campouts for the year. My family spends the Columbus Day weekend in early 15th century costumes, enjoying archery, knife throwing, and of course some amazing fall food and drink. This year promises to be particularly chilly, so I've been making my husband a warm wool cotehardie and hood. I still have the button holes to sew (by hand)--sure hope I make it.
