I've been learning a lot about sewing machine repair this week. So...
Did You Know you're supposed to thread your machine with the presser foot in the UP position? When the presser foot is down, the thread floats over the tension discs instead of going in between them. Mis-threaded machines are one of the most common sources of sewing headaches. So, next time your machine is acting up, rethread it from start to finish. And be sure the presser foot is up when you do.
