Hello again.
It's been a hectic few weeks for me over here. I do hope you have still had time to visit the site and see the latest articles.
I have spent days at the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Show talking to people about deafness and Cochlear Implants. And immediately after that I went to a Deafness Conference in Darwin - the northern most state capital in Australia. I had not been there before so it was wonderful to experience the 'top end' and visit Kakadu a World Heritage National park.
I will include some articles gained from the Conference in the future. In the meantime, ere's the latest article from the Deafness site at BellaOnline.com.
The importance of language
Communication is the very basis of our existence. Without communication we cannot interact with our peers, we cannot learn language and at a very basic level we cannot even think.
