Living Simply

July 20 2011 Living Simply Newsletter

I am writing this newsletter while walking on my treadmill at 1 mile an hour. I heard that it's good to move even a little all through the day. One of the worst things you can do for your health is live a sedentary lifestyle of watching TV and sitting to use the computer.

So I placed a wooden board across the arms of my treadmill and now I can go on the Internet and move a little all through the day. It took a while to get it right, especially the height of the keyboard. The keyboard should be at a height that doesn't put strain on the shoulders.

You can buy a professional TrekDesk for about $500 and the height can be adjusted on that, but I was determined to come up with a cheaper option. You can see a photograph of me walking slowly on my treadmill in this week's article which is about simple things you can do through the day to keep moving.

Simple Ways to Get Fit
Do you ever want to exercise only to decide at the last minute to skip it, just this once? If you regularly procrastinate before you exercise then read this article to find simple ways to move more during your day.
