TIP OF THE WEEK:
If you have not completed a living will or a medical power of attorney,
resolve to do so by the end of the month. A living will lets your wishes
be known when you can no longer communicate them. A medical power of
attorney gives an agent of your choice the right to make medical decisions
for you when you can no longer make them for yourself. You can go through
a lawyer to complete these documents, but this is not necessary. Every
hospital has copies of the appropriate forms available. All you have to do
is ask.
