Look up! The night sky is beautiful and fascinating. I hope you will join me in finding out what we can see in the night sky, learning the stories of the stars and of the people who have studied them, and revealing amazing new discoveries.

My qualifications for helping you in these cosmic encounters are an M.Sc. in astronomy from Swinburne University of Technology (in Australia) and a Diploma in Astronomy from University College London. I am also a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. But I realise that whether absolute beginners or old hands, we all have something to teach each other.

One of the most exciting things I´ve done lately was to travel to the Arctic Circle on a Norwegian coastal ship. We went in search of the Northern Lights and found them - a beautiful experience.
