We have two Weimaraners. That´s my girl Schatzie with me in the picture.
My Fritz adds a few useful facts to some of my articles. I love both of them dearly and spoil them alot! Shatzie is the most devoted dog I´ve ever known. Fritz is my sweet, lovable shadow. He´s absolutely convinced that if he keeps practicing his vocalizations and tries hard enough, he´ll be able to "talk" in human terms. They each have very distinct personalities and together, they are a real comedy act.
We´ve always had family pets, lots of them! Our daughters grew up with rabbits, hamsters, birds, cats, a pony, a horse, and Dogs! There were other Weimaraners, a Miniature Poodle, a Collie, 2 English Springer Spaniels and "Sprig" ... a sweet little 4 lb wonder we adopted from the Humane Society (breed unknown; possibly a Disney creation).
If you´re a regular visitor to BellaOnline, especially if you´ve been coming here for recipes, you know that I´m also the home cooking editor. When I´m on the internet and I need a diversion from all that writing about food & cooking, I look for dog sites. What´s out there is incredible. When I searched for ´Weimaraner", for example, just 1 of 150 AKC breeds, I found links to over 250 Weim sites!
My articles on the Dogs site contain information I´ve researched thoroughly, but I´m not a pet care expert. I cannot advise you regarding specific health problems with your dogs, breeding issues, or matters that are best left to the pros. There are many sites that do all that superbly. I´m here as a fellow dog lover to point out the many online resources available for you and your dog. I´m here as a dog Mom to encourage other dog owners to be great dog parents and enjoy every minute of parenthood.
