I´m a transplanted Brit, currently residing with my husband and “furbabies” in a quiet little town in Canada that is, at the moment, my sanity. Writing has always been a passion of mine, starting in high school where I was a photographer/reporter for the school newspaper, to finishing the first draft of my novel, to placing 23rd in last year’s Writer’s Digest Short Story Competition, my short stint as a newspaper reporter where I realized my love of non-fiction article writing and now…

This opportunity is a blessing to not only write for such a great website, but to be able to offer my 30+ years knowledge of dogs. In the late 90´s we started at a local rescue, bringing home dogs that had been abandoned or abused and finding them a forever home. We have since continued that and currently have five forever furbabies with us. Some are special needs, some aren´t...we love each "child" the same. They give us such love and devotion, I can´t begin to say how much our life would change if they weren´t apart of it.

That is why I’m so grateful to be able to share with you the knowledge I have gained over the years and the new things I am continually learning. Pets should be treated as part of a family, they are special. If I can help one person in some small way, I’ll be happy. Please join me so we can explore and take this journey together!
