Welcome to my bio. I am a young senior, with a deep appreciation for senior issues. Professionally,I am a small business owner. I run my own office services firm, providing writing, research, editing, desktop publishing and web site work. (www.time-in-a-bottle.biz)
In the past, I have worked as a pre-school teacher, a circulation driver for several newspapers, a used-bookstore owner, and things as diverse as a crossing guard and an ice cream maker for Swenson’s Ice Cream!
Personally, I am married, a mother and grandmother. An orphan, a sister, (I have four sisters) and, I hope, a good friend. I love to read, to write, to watch movies... and enjoy gardening, animals, writing, baking, volunteer work and computer time. I have training as a Master Food Preserver with the Extension Service of the University of California. I am on a constant quest to learn new things, to enhance my knowledge, and to be able to talk intelligently on a variety of subjects. I have a quirky sense of humor, enjoying puns, and teasing others. I have recently learned how to spin, using a drop spindle, and hope to learn how to read tea leaves soon! I enjoy discussions about politics and religion, and encourage friends and family to engage me with such topics as American history, herbs, classic Rock and Roll and mystery books, just to name a few.
Why am I here, at Bella Online? I am eager to take on the challenge of a new project, exploring a new environment, and learning new things. As I am on that path, I hope to meet new friends, provide education and amusement, and support others in exploring their purpose and function in their senior lives.
