My name is Lana Mixon. I live in Lafayette, Louisiana. I have lived in Louisiana since I was about 8 years old. I am married with 2 children, ages 21 and 10! I have a degree in General Studies with a focus in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In 2006, I accepted a position in the College of Nursing at ULL, as a grant manager for healthcare grants. I am also learning to write grants.
Urban Legends interest me because they can sometimes affect our potential behaviors and/or be misconstrued as the truth. Also, I enjoy researching the origins of myths, legends, old wives´ tales and misinformation. The culture of Louisiana has its fair share of stories, myths, legends and tales!
My hobbies/interests also include crocheting, beading, volunteering and reading (website articles, news, and educational-type information on the internet).
