Trigun 4 - Love and Peace
Guest Author - The Futile Existence

In the fourth episode of Vash, a sandstorm has descended on a Western town. As the two girls hang out in a bar, a group of baddies come in. They grab a wealthy guy's daughter and bodyguard, plus the two women. They demand 100,000 double dollars in ransom. Bostolk, her dad, harasses the Sheriff Stan to save the girl. And in wanders Vash the Dancer.

"Well, I guess we've got five hostages now." Vash of course becomes infatuated with the pretty daughter, Miss Stephanie, and when the bad guys harass him, he drops into his Western Dude voice and says "That's not how a lady should be treated." Meryl angrily reminds him that THEY are ladies too, and he responds, "Oh yeah, I guess that I forgot!"

The bandits are worried that the Sheriff has hired Vash the Stampede - rumor has it that he's in town. The wagon and money shows up, but of course it's a trap. The wagon smashes into the bar, and in true heroic fashion, Vash rescues Stephanie. As they dive behind the bar, the black cat runs off!

Vash jumps out into the mercenaries but refuses to shoot them. Soon we learn that Stephanie's father became called "the Grim Reaper" by killing all the farmers in the area - and now the bank robber is seeking revenge.

Vash goes out and comforts the various bank robbers, then says he will negotiate terms. Stephanie insists that even if her dad was an awful man in his past, he was a warm and loving father to her. And the classic gun battle stance begins. The two men shoot, and the Grim Reaper goes down. Having been impressed with Vash's sympathies, the bandit only shoots Bostolk in the shoulder and plans to turn himself in. Vash cries in thanks.

Stan the Sherrif wants glory now and plans to kill the bandits. Vash attacks him while Meryl pulls out her tons of mini-guns in her cloak and shoots the guns out of everybody's hands. They strip the Sheriff's stars and then force him to recite, "This world is made of love and peace!" Awwwwwwwwwwwww.

Kuroneko-sama Sighting
He jumps from behind the bar when Vash pulls Stephanie behind it for safety.
