Open Your Eyes

Open Your Eyes
Sickness, disease, war, violence, break-ins, and the list goes on. These are all reasons to cause fear to enter into our minds. If we allow these fears to settle into our minds and hearts, we will be unable to do God’s Will for our lives.

If we were to get caught up in all the latest news stories on a daily basis, or even believe in every diagnosis that the doctor gives us, we would be in danger of losing a lot more than good health. We could lose our joy and peace. 1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out fear.

Although there is so much going on around us, we have to remember one very important fact. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. God is not responsible for fear. You have the power to change things.

The Lord will fight our battles. He is our protector. 2 Kings 6:16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. You have access to so much more than your enemy. You have angels watching over you.

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. Elisha communicated with the one that could change the situation around for their good. He prayed to the Lord. The Lord answered his prayer. He allowed spiritual eyes to be opened.

We must have faith in the right things. We are all dealt with a measure of faith. The bible tells us in Mark 11:22-24 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Elisha prayed once more to God. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2 Kings 6:18

As believers of Jesus Christ, we should be fearless. Rather than believing negative words, we should trust and allow God to be God. There is one thing for sure. God never fails. He will never let you down. Open your eyes and see the army on the mountaintop ready to fight your battle for you.

Be Blessed.
