Build Noah Type Faith

Noah was a man of great faith and because of this God chose not to wipe mankind off of the planet.

Genesis 6
5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.
6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.
7 So the Lord said, ďI will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have createdóand with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the groundófor I regret that I have made them.Ē
8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Instead, God gave Noah the challenge of building an ark, collecting pairs of every living thing and preparing his family for the appointed time when the earth would be flooded.

The building of the ark was truly an act of pure faith because it had never rained before. Noahís strong faith allowed him to follow Godís specific construction instructions until the ark was finished. You can just image the ridicule Noah and his family faced from the people around them to which building an ark on dry land must have seemed ridiculous. Noah had to choose to ignore those around him and remain diligent to the plan that had been set before him listening only to God which allowed his family to be saved.

Sometimes we might find ourselves in situations where we have to make choices that may not be in line with our peers. If we are seeking the Lord for wisdom and understanding, then we might need to block out the voices around us. As Christians we have the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us to truth. We must look to the Word of God for direction and clarity to leads us in the right path.

Proverbs 3
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Noah had his families support throughout this experience. We also need to assemble ourselves and connect to believers who are faithful to Godís word to remain strong through our tough situations. We should have the ability to share experiences and be uplifted by each otherís past victories. Noah chose to daily seek out God which kept his spiritually strong. This is also what we must do as believers which will help us to overcome adversities in our lives.

Psalms 4:8
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

The building of strong faith is a process that is built day by day over time and is strengthened through every trial. Developing a great faith is not just for you but is also for your family and everyone around you. Your faith will allow you to strengthen others to understand the power of prayer and the vital need for God in their daily life.

The Bible says as we drawer closer to God, God draws closer to us. If your protector is where you are, then problems become smaller, stress is diminished and Godís favor is upon you. Godís favor will allow you to live victoriously and to be able to share your blessings with others.

Psalms 5:12
Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Share Godís love today by encouraging others to seek Godís face daily so that they too can be blessed!
