Book Reviews
The good, the bad, and the ones you must add to your collection.
Book Review - Jesus Freaks Volume I The first time I read these words I had to put the book down. I had to wipe the tears from my eyes. It was December of 2000 and this was all I decided I wanted for Christmas. I set it back on the shelf in Wal-Mart in Colorado Springs and started to walk away. Book Review - Jesus Freaks Volume II This book is a continuance of the stories of those believers who have been killed for their testimony for Christ. Book Review : Leading Through Adversity Leading Through Adversity is the title and the pages are filled with tips and devotionals to help you in your endeavor to be better through God’s love. Setting yourself up for victory seems like an enterprising walk, but without proper guidance you can be discouraged easily. Book Review: Just Think: Nourish Your Mind to Feed Your Soul by Nancy J. Nordenson “Just Think” is the title, but it’s also what this book, by Nancy Nordenson, inspires you to do. From the first line to the end this book reminds us that our minds are a gift from God and to squander it’s use would be to squander one of our God given talents, the ability to think. Book Review: The Glorious Appearing by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins After the last book, Armmageddon, I thought for sure the authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins couldn’t write how the Lord would appear and make it believable. I was wrong. Book Review:“The Richest of Fare: Seeking Spiritual Security in the Sonoran Desert” by Phyllis Strup This book is filled with beautiful photographs of the desert in Arizona. I found the photos to be beautifully taken and a great expression of artistic perspective. The descriptions of the desert life and lifestyle was enchanting.
God Called A Girl - Book Review Not only is this a book that I would recommend for young teen aged girls (I sent my copy to my niece who turns 13 this year) but for every 40-something -13 - year - old - at - heart girl out there who could use a little encouragement for your heart. God's Assasins God’s Assassins explores the deep meaning of our existence here on earth with and without God. A novel written from the point of view that we are all part of a spiritual battle whether we know it or not. Know What You Believe - Book Review Are you kind of hazy on what Christianity teaches about angels, end times, baptism and what communion is all about? This little book serves up the answers in rich, easy-to-chew morsels.
