1973 - The funeral for Colonel William Nolde was held. Colonel Nolde holds the distinction of being the last American casualty of the Vietnam War. He was killed January 27, 1973 and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Doug McClure, the actor who appeared in TV's "The Virginian" passed away in 1995 at the age of 59.
Marianne Moore, the Pullitzer Prize winning poet passed away in 1972 at the age of 84.
Hannah Van Buren, wife of President Martin Van Buren, passed away in 1819 at the age of 36.
