Zulu Baby Names - Female

Guest Author - Jeanne Egbosiuba Ukwendu

Although not a complete list, here is a list of Zulu baby names for girls. Zulu children are named before they are born. Babies are named depending on circumstances or relationships in the family. The Zulu tribe doesn't have a naming ceremony, but rather a ceremony called imbeleko to introduce the new baby to the family's ancestors. Most names beginning with "no" are female names.
