Two Children's Language Books By Ken Wilson-Max

Interested in learning some Swahili words? The children's book "Furaha Means Happy! A Book of Swahili Words" will get you and your children off to a very good start.

"Furaha Means Happy" was written in 2000 by Ken Wilson-Max. It contains a nice list of Swahili words to learn with bright colorful pictures and a cute story to go along with it. In the back of the book is a guide to how to says all the Swahili words in the book. The author makes it as simple as possible to understand the pronunciations.

This book is geared for ages 3 to 7. My four year old daughter enjoyed looking at the pictures.

Interested in learning some Zulu words? The children's book "Halala Means Welcome! A Book of Zulu Words" will get you and your children off to a very good start.

"Halala" was written in 1998 by Ken Wilson-Max. It contains a nice list of Zulu words to learn with bright colorful pictures and a cute story to go along with it. In the back of the book is a guide to how to says all the Zulu words in the book. The author makes it as simple as possible to understand the pronunciations, although I'm not sure I'll ever be able to get the clicking Q sound right.

This book is geared for ages 3 to 7, however my ten year old daughter thought this book was "Cool".
