Judy Moody - Goes to College

Judy Moody - Goes to College
Judy is in a mood again. She needs a math tutor. Now! The third grader is in a terrible mood. Her little brother, Stink, is not helping matters. Judy’s math tutor turns out being a very-cool college student, Chloe. Tutoring class is on campus, and so Judy goes to college.

Fans of the Judy Moody book series know she will have to have a mood adjustment – and with that the fun begins.

While on campus Judy attends a lecture, peace rally and a painting class. She discovers that college food is far better that what is served in her cafeteria every day.

Since she feels like a college student now, she redecorates her wardrobe and bedroom to show her college spirit! Hey! She is a college student. (or at least thinks she is!)

Judy Moody Goes to College by Megan McDonald explores the brother and sister’s dynamics. College student and Stink can call each other names all day and evening, but love each other. The early reader introduces kids to college life. No talking whether the teacher is talking in third grade classroom or in college is “same-same.” She meets new and interesting people. Chloe’s student visits a dorm room, quad and cafeteria. The young girl experiences a veggie burger!

Judy Moody Goes to College is book #8 in the Judy Moody Series. Peter H. Reynolds returns as illustrator. The early chapter book has one hundred and thirty pages divided into eleven chapters. McDonald and Reynolds add several pages of fun facts and drawings at the book’s end. Enjoyable and interesting to the reader.

Note: Judy Moody books are from my personal library of children’s books.
