Crafts That any Girl Will Love

Craft making is a very enjoyable experience while having a lot of fun. Crafts can serve as a great source of entertainment for girls. Or it can be considered a great bonding activity. Take a look at some choice crafts for daughters that will give her a guaranteed smile. See how she will develop a skill that will take her right into adult hood.

Making jewelry is a great way for girls to express themselves. It shows that they have creativity and their own style. Present the idea to your daughter and go out to get supplies as needed. Let your daughter choose her choice items for bracelets, earrings, necklace or anklets.

How about streamer bed curtains that any girl will sure to love pulling back every morning. This is a sure way to get your daughter to go to bed while having fun at the same time. Go out and buy multiple colors of streamers and tape them to the ceiling to form a curtain. Keep in mind that you may need to cut the streamers to the length of the bed and just above the floor.

Have your daughter turn her old t-shirts into a tote bag that will make her the envy of all girls. Sew around the edges of the shirt and stop when you get to the arms. Put a string through the arms and use as a draw string. This will be just right for all of her favorite items.

Have your daughter take all of her unused fabric items that can no longer be worn and turn them into a memory quilt. This may take some assistance from an adult. Cut all of the fabric into 5x7 squares and use a machine to sew them together. As you piece each piece together, talk about the memories of the item and age. This will be a great bonding opportunity.

Make your own big pillow throws for comfort. Obtain large pieces of material and sew them together leaving a small opening. Obtain stuffing from a fabric store and stuff through the opening, seal after completion.

How about your very own glitter globe? This craft may require adult supervision. A craft that’s not only educational but fun making and pretty to look at. You must fill ¼ of the container full of rubbing alcohol, fill the rest of the container with vegetable oil. Add your color choice of glitter. This is both an educational and bonding opportunity. Go over how and why the rubbing alcohol and oil did not mix.

All can be considered a self-development skill or a way to show her creativity skill. Making crafts from raw material has a way of being rewarding. And not to mention it adds a sense of accomplishment. Self-awareness and self-acknowledgement are just a few words that come to mind when you ask what the benefits are.

How do these words sound “Look I made this myself”? What other words can you think of that your daughter might say? While you are thinking of new words – didn’t she give productive a whole new meaning? This word will take her straight into adulthood, which then helps with her making a difference.
