Aromatherapy for Holiday Stress

Itís beginning to look a lot like: Oh my God, Thanksgiving is 20 days away, 40 people are coming for dinner, I donít have all of my Christmas shopping done and Ö sounding familiar in your world?

Holidays stress can rear its head and have you feeling overwhelmed in no time. How will you choose to slow your physical and mental pace and get yourself centered and focused?

Aromatherapy! Thatís a great place to start.

Does the thought of pulling Thanksgiving dinner together tire you out? A pick me up of citrus blends will uplift your spirits and give you that zing you need to move through the murk of mental slug.

Orange, grapefruit, lemon or lime these are your uplifting yet relaxing essential oils. When you combine them with lavender, sandalwood or even cinnamon they will warm your spirit and soothe your soul.

Clary Sage is another essential oil that helps in relaxing, rejuvenating and revitalizing your mind. During the Holiday Season, stress shows up like an unwanted cold sore. It appears and youíre trying to figure out where it came from.

No doubt with the anxiety of planning for people, relatives that is, its bound to overwhelm you.

Rosemary is a good oil to have on hand this time of year, especially since it helps with poor memory.

Now Iím not saying youíre forgetful but I am saying a few things can slip through the memory crack. I know, Iíve walked from one room to the next and forgot why I was entering the room in the first place.

So by adding Rosemary to your goody bag and mixing it with your lemon essential oil, you just might create a brain stimulant for yourself.

Swiss Pine is an oil that might not be at the top of your list for helping relieve stress but itís great for lack of energy and strengthening the mind.

Swiss pine is also good for people who lack courage and in moments of stress, your self-confidence is not always at its peak.

Itís also an oil that helps with patience, so when you find yourself in a somewhat stressful environment, have patience with yourself and move through it.

Holiday stress got you going in circles? Have no fear, your essential oils are here!
