1933 - The version of the board game Monopoly that we know today was invented by Charles Darrow.

1965 - “Bloody Sunday” occurred in Selma, Alabama during a Civil Rights march.

Michael Eisner the former head of the Walt Disney empire was born in 1942.

Wanda Sykes the actress/comedian who has appeared in “Monster-In-Law”, “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” and lent her voice to “Over the Hedge” was born in 1964.

Daniel J. Travanti who starred on TV’s “Hill Street Blues” was born in 1940.

Thomas Aquinas the theologian and Catholic Saint passed away in 1274 at the age of 48.

Aristotle the famed philosopher passed away in 322 BC at the age of 61.

Divine the actor best remembered for his role as Edna in “Hairspray” passed away in 1988 at the age of 42.

Charles Gray the actor who portrayed Mycroft Holmes on TV’s “Sherlock Holmes” and starred in “Diamonds are Forever” passed away in 2000 at the age of 71.

Stanley Kubrick the famed director of such films as “A Clockwork Orange”, “Dr. Strangelove…”, “Eyes Wide Shut”, “Full Metal Jacket” and “The Shining” passed away in 1999 at the age of 70.

Antonius Pius the Emperor of Rome passed away in 161 at the age of 74.

Paul Winfield who starred on TV’s “Picket Fences” passed away in 2004 at the age of 62.
