Scented Gifts For Holiday Joy
Time flies when you're having fun. Here we are again coming up on Thanksgiving, which means the biggest holidays of the year are upon us. That's right "holidays", plural.
Once halloween with all of its ghost and goblins pass through, there's Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year's Eve. Party central! It's time for so much fun you can barely contain yourself.
It's also that time of year when anything with a beautiful scent will have you following the breeze to satisfy your curiosity. Not to mention that time of year when you can present the gift of scent to those you love. Okay, some of those you like will also benefit from a scented gift.
Scented Gift Ideas
Perfume is typically the first thing to come to mind when you think of holiday scented gifts. The new trend is in eco friendly scented gifts, so a natural perfume would make the perfect gift for friends and loved ones.
Essential oils of sandalwood, rose, jasmine, vanilla and orange make great blending components when it comes to a natural perfume. If you're comfortable in the world of essential oils, you can use this scent blend to make a solid perfume, a body mist spray and a body oil. These are premium essential oils, therefore your blend would be on the pricey side, so make this scented gift especially for someone special and deserving.
Potpourri and Room Fresheners make great scented gift ideas. Some of you have been collecting pine cones for a year. Not only do they make great potpourri but scented door wreaths and centerpieces add beauty and aroma to your rooms.
Cupcakes and cookies can be the best scented gifts ever. And yes, cupcakes and cookies can be an aphrodisiac for some people. Have your ever experienced opening a box of apple spice cinnamon cupcakes? Oh My God, to die for!
Cupcakes didn't get you? How about butter cookies with with sugar topping or red velvet cake on a popsicle stick. Let's not forget the traditional walnut chocolate chip cookies or pecan pie squares. I don't know about you but I'd welcome cupcakes and cookies over fruit cake any day.
I have to throw in this tidbit. If you are going to present scented food gifts, make sure they are packaged properly to guarantee freshness.
This should get you started …
With your scented holiday gift items, mix things up. Whether it's perfumes and potpourri or cupcakes and cookies, you're bound to find a winning combination for your family and friends.
