William “Count” Basie the famed jazz musician passed away in 1984 at the age of 79.

John Wilkes Booth the actor who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln was killed in 1865 at the age of 36.

Jim Davis who starred as Jock Ewing on TV’s “Dallas” passed away in 1981 at the age of 71. His death was written into the show.

Gypsy Rose Lee the actress and burlesque dancer/entertainer passed away in 1970 at the age of 59.

Emily McLaughlin who starred on daytime TV’s “General Hospital” as Nurse Jesse Brewer passed away in 1991 at the age of 60.

Irene Ryan the actress of stage and screen who is best remembered as Granny from TV’s “Beverly Hillbillies” passed away in 1973 at the age of 70.
