1763 - Pontiac’s Rebellion began.

1824 - Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony debuted at the Karntnertor Theater in Vienna, Austria.

1847 - The AMA, American Medical Association was founded.

1915 - The RMS Lusitania sank after being hit by a torpedo from a German U-20 submarine. 1,198 people were killed when the boat sank within 20 minutes.

Anne Baxter who appeared in “The Ten Commandments” and “All About Eve” was born in 1923.

Johannes Brahms the German composer whose works include “Lullaby” was born in 1833.

Robert Browning the author/poet of such works as “The Ring and the Book” was born in 1812.

Eagle Eye Cherry the voice behind “Stay Tonight” was born in 1969.

Gary Cooper the star of such films as “Sergeant York” and “High Noon” was born in 1901.

Owen Hart the talented professional wrestler was born in 1965.

Michael E. Knight the actor best known as Tad from daytime TV’s “All My Children” was born in 1959.

Bill Kreutzmann the drummer for rock music’s Grateful Dead was born in 1946.

Traci Lords the adult film actress who went on to star on TV’s “Melrose Place” was born in 1968.

Darren McGavin who starred in “A Christmas Story” was born in 1922.

Breckin Meyer who starred in “Garfield”, “Rat Race” and “Road Trip” was born in 1974.

Eva Peron the wife of Argentinean leader Juan Person was born in 1919. Her life was the basis of “Evita” starring Madonna.

Tim Russert the host of TV’s “Meet the Press” was born in 1950.

Robin Strasser the actress best known as Dorian on daytime TV’s “One Life to Live” was born in 1945.

Johnny Unitas the legendary pro football player was born in 1933.

Douglas Fairbanks Jr. who starred in “Little Caesar” and “Gunga Din” passed away in 2000 at the age of 90.

Mary Philbin who starred as Christine in the original “Phantom of the Opera” passed away in 1993 at the age of 89.

Eddie Rabbitt the singer/songwriter who had a number of hits including “I Love a Rainy Night” and “Any Which Way but Loose” passed away in 1998 at the age of 56.

Guy Williams who starred on TV’s “Zorro” passed away in 1989 at the age of 65.
