Cooking Fearlessly - Recipes and Other Adventures from Hudson's on the Bend

Cooking Fearlessly is by Jeff Blank and Jay Moore with Deborah Harter Photographs by Laurie Smith, Chef Paintings by Shanny Lott and Foreword by Dan Rather. Cooking Fearlessly is right! With the unique creativity and their philosophy - "Never Leave Well Enough Alone, Adapt and Conquer and When you find yourself getting too serious, stop and eat something." says it all!






The book is a creatively done hard bound cookbook with 180 pages and has several recipe sections with each of them being led by one of Shanny's bold colorful art works:

Fish and Crustaceans
Things with Wings
Meats - Wild and Tame
Vegetables and Side Dishes
and Desserts

They also feature several pages of tips and guides including: How to use this book, Salt and Seasoning, Grill In Your Face, In the Smokehouse, Peppers-How to Roast, and References to Stock Options, Hudson's on the Bend Gourmet Sauces, Hudson's on the Bend Cooking School and Resources. The book is completed with an index.

Some of the mouth-watering recipes you will find in this cookbook include: Chilled Lobster and Texas Dewberry Coleslaw, Mumbo Jumbo Gumbo, Eggplant Hudson's, Rattlesnake cakes, (I've had rattlesnake, it's good!), Guava Sour Cherry Sauce, Bourbon Vanilla Praline Sweet Potatoes and Canela White Chocolate Ice Cream to name a few!

This cookbook is absolutely beautiful! With all the colorful pictures, illustrations, art work and commentary it is a wonderful book to own and would make a terrific gift for anyone!
