Wine Games
Guest Author - Paula S.W. Laurita

Do you enjoy gathering friends for fun? Do you enjoy wine? Then why not combine the two with these games?

If you'd like to broaden your knowledge of wine, there's a way to do it that's less like school, and more light hearted.

A Taste for Wine and Murder Mystery Game
This game is a favorite of mine. It combines two of my passions--mysteries and wine. There is a murder mystery to solve, of course, but also included is a shopping list, menus, recipes, invitations, clues, and more to have an evening with body and a great finish.

World Wide Wines Board Game
If you are more of a Triviual Pursuit player than actor, this is the game for you. Your goal is to purchase one of four possible winning card combinations, representing regions of wine production. Over 300 money cards offer a wide range of challenging questions and interesting facts on international wine styles and production methods, and provide (or take away) the cash needed to buy the region cards. You will be amazed by how much you know and don't know about wine.

Wine Smarts
This is a colorful question-and-answer game. It has cards that feature true-false and multiple choice questions. It covers wine regions, vocabulary, and more.

Quaffers
Everyone brings a bottle of wine to participate in this English board game. Each player is the owner of a vineyard. The purpose is to help the players become better "vineyard proprietors" through increasing their "experience" and improving their ability to identify wines by their smell and taste, rather than their label!
