Has you child ever had a thorough vision exam - not just reading the eye charts at the doctor's office?

There are additional eye problems a child may have that can lead to being misdiagnosed with learning disabilities such as ADHD, because the child can't concentrate on reading very long.

Most people know about lazy eye syndrome, but there can be less obvious problems either in seeing and tracking across a page of words, or in the pathway from the outside world to the brain.

Some common complaints that might signal a hidden visual problem include short attention span reading, headaches, poor reading comprehension, sloppy handwriting.
