Artist, musician and author Jonah Winter writes Barack. A. G. Ford illustrates the story book. His illustrations are stunning. The text is in a lyrical format. Juveniles learn about his career as a law professor and community organizer in Chicago. He becomes an Illinois State Senator, United States Senator and Presidential Candidate.

The lyrical text and well-executed illustrations are a delight to the ears and eyes. The thirty-two page children's juvenile book works well as a bedtime book or circle book. Winter wrote the picture book before the November 2008 election. Therefore, parents and teachers have to supply the fact he is the President-Elect. Or if read after the inauguration, he is the 44th President of United States of America.
