We take a look at these important dates for the NFL’s biggest game.

January 15, 1967 - Super Bowl I at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California saw the Green Bay Packers defeat the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 35 to 10. The University of Arizona’s marching band performed.

January 14, 1968 - Super Bowl II at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida saw the Green Bay Packers defeat the Oakland Raiders by a score of 33 to 14. The Grambling University Band performed.

January 12, 1969 - Super Bowl III at the Orange Bowl saw the New York Jets defeat the Baltimore Colts by a score of 16 to 7. Anita Bryant performed.

January 11, 1970 - Super Bowl IV at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 23 to 7. Al Hirt and Carol Channing performed.

January 17, 1971 - Super Bowl V at the Orange Bowl saw the Baltimore Colts defeat the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 16 to 13. Anita Bryant performed.

January 16, 1972 - Super Bowl VI at Tulane Stadium saw the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Miami Dolphins by a score of 24 to 3. Carol Channing and Ella Fitzgerald performed.

January 14, 1973 - Super Bowl VII at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum saw the Miami Dolphins defeat the Washington Redskins by a score of 14 to 7. The Holy Angels Church Choir and the University of Michigan Band performed.

January 13, 1974 - Super Bowl VIII at Rice Stadium in Houston, Texas saw the Miami Dolphins defeat the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 24 to 7. Charlie Pride performed.

January 12, 1975 - Super Bowl IX at Tulane Stadium saw the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 16 to 6. Mercer Ellington performed.

January 18, 1976 - Super Bowl X at the Orange Bowl saw the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 21 to 17. Tom Sullivan and Up With People performed.

January 9, 1977 - Super Bowl XI at the Rose Bowl in Pasedena, California saw the Oakland Raiders defeat the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 32 to 14. The All City Band performed.

January 15, 1978 - Super Bowl XII at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana saw the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Denver Broncos by a score of 27 to 10. Al Hirt and Pete Fountain were among the performers.

January 21, 1979 - Super Bowl XIII at the Orange Bowl saw the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 35 to 31. Ken Hamilton performed.

January 20, 1980 - Super Bowl XIV at the Rose Bowl saw the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 31 to 19. Cheryl Ladd and Up With People performed.

January 25, 1981 - Super Bowl XV at the Louisiana Superdome saw the Oakland Raiders defeat the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 27 to 10. Helen O’Connell performed.

January 24, 1982 - Super Bowl XVI at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan saw the San Francisco 49ers defeat the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 26 to 21. Diana Ross performed.

January 30, 1983 - Super Bowl XVII at the Rose Bowl saw the Washington Redskins defeat the Miami Dolphins by a score of 27 to 17. Leslie Esterbrook performed.

January 29, 1995 - Super Bowl XXIX at the Joe Robbie Stadium saw the San Francisco 49ers defeat the San Diego Chargers by a score of 49 to 26. Tony Bennett, Kathie Lee Gifford and Patti LaBelle performed.

January 28, 1996 - Super Bowl XXX at the Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona saw the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 27 to 17. Diana Ross and Vanessa Williams performed.

January 26, 1997 - Super Bowl XXXI at the Louisiana Superdome saw the Green Bay Packers defeat the New England Patriots by a score of 35 to 21. James Brown, Luther Vandross and ZZ Top were among the performers.

January 31, 1999 - Super Bowl XXXIII at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida saw the Denver Broncos defeat the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 34 to 19. Cher, Gloria Estefan and Stevie Wonder performed.

January 30, 2000 - Super Bowl XXXIV at the Georgia Dome saw the St. Louis Rams defeat the Tennessee Titans by a score of 23 to 16. Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, Phil Collins, Faith Hill and Enrique Iglesias performed.

January 28, 2001 - Super Bowl XXXV at Raymond James Stadium in Miami, Florida saw the Baltimore Ravens defeat the New York Giants by a score of 34 to 7. Aerosmith, Backstreet Boys, Mary J. Blige, Ray Charles, Britney Spears, Nelly and ‘NSync were among the performers.

February 3, 2002 - Super Bowl XXXVI at the Louisiana Superdome saw the New England Patriots defeat the St. Louis Rams by a score of 20 to 17. Mariah Carey and U2 performed.

January 26, 2003 - Super Bowl XXXVII at Qualcomm Stadium saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the Oakland Raiders by a score of 48 to 21. The Dixie Chicks, No Doubt, Sting and Shania Twain performed.

February 1, 2004 - Super Bowl XXXVIII at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas saw the New England Patriots defeat the Carolina Panthers by a score of 32 to 29. “P Diddy”, Janet Jackson, Kid Rock, Beyonce Knowles, Nelly and Justin Timberlake performed.

February 6, 2005 - Super Bowl XXXIX at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida saw the New England Patriots defeat the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 24 to 21. Alicia Keys and Paul McCartney performed.

February 5, 2006 - Super Bowl XL at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan saw the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 21 to 10. Aretha Franklin, Aaron Neville and the Rolling Stones performed.

February 4, 2007 - Super Bowl XLI at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida saw the Indianapolis Colts defeat the Chicago Bears by a score of 29 to 17. Prince performed.
