The 2005 Quill Awards are announced. J.K. Rowlings wins “The Book of the Year” with the worldwide popular Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The Quill Awards unlike the Booker and Pulitzer Awards are decided by the votes of readers. There are nineteen categories of which three are for children books. Here are the winners.
