People are resolving to change negative behavior and transition to a more optimistic person in the New Year. Often, itís difficult to make those changes. However, one effective way to stick to the resolutions is to remember that the change is for a positive new you in the New Year. Check out the following suggestion.
Get Rid of Toxic People
Toxic people are those bitter trolls that send out negative vibrations. These are the people in your life that get under your skin. Many are passive aggressive personalities that enjoy raining on your parade with their biting, sarcastic remarks or criticism. Of course, they are only interfering for your better good?
They are the friends that try to manipulate your life. They are the co-worker that gossips constantly about others. They are the neighbor that spreads rumors about other neighbors. They are the trolls on social media that leave hateful criticism behind the cover of the Internet. They are the person that dumps all their problems on you. They are the people that criticize the decisions you make. They are the boyfriend or girlfriend that make you feel unappreciated. Basically, these individuals are disturbed, resentful, malicious and manipulative people that drain your energy. They lack respect for you and your boundaries.
Certainly, it is important to recognize these people. Here is the deal. The toxic person might be a boss, co-worker, social media friend, associate, relative, or neighbor. Certainly, removing those toxic people from your life is crucial to your emotional well-being and transitioning to a more positive person.
Break Connections With Toxic People
Focus on your reactions to their behavior. Next, take steps to protect yourself. Start by not responding to their remarks. Do not talk to them in person, chat, or on the telephone. Avoid communicating in other ways. Remember to block them on your social media sites. You are now the one that is setting your own boundaries. Stick to the new boundaries during this New Year and the future for your emotional health and well-being.
