Can You Pass The Cellulite Test?
Of course, cellulite is not very attractive and strongly affects one's body image. Still, others are simply unaware that they have cellulite. Are you able to pass the cellulite test? Well, here are a few signs that you have cellulite.
-Check for lumpy skin on the stomach, thighs, hips, and buttocks
-Check for skin with a dimpled appearance on the same areas
-Check for skin conditions that appear sensitive or bruised
-Check for thickened skin conditions on stomach, thighs, hips, buttocks
The fact is that cellulite is a normal condition that is generally diagnosed in women. Studies show that the majority of the female population develop cellulite at some point in their life. Furthermore, even skinny women complain about lumpy skin on their stomach, thighs, hips, and buttocks. The good news is that cellulite is not contagious or dangerous. It is more of a self esteem and body care issue.
Medical studies indicate that cellulite is a normal female problem that is triggered by an increase in estrogen. Estrogen levels skyrocket during pregnancy and level off, afterwards. In addition, an unhealthy lifestyle contributes to cellulite production. For example, eating foods high in cholesterol and saturated fat or not exercising.
A good moisturizer, creams, oils, massage, skin brushing, hydrotherapy help to treat cellulite and improve blood circulation in the area affected. The basic idea is to improve blood circulation and smooth the skin to reduce the appearance of the cellulite. Here are a few methods to try.
Creams - Moisturizing creams, rich with antioxidants A, C, E. Anti oxidants fight free radical damage. Free radical damage causes aging, wrinkles, and other skin conditions. The moisturizing cream is massaged into the skin to increase circulation to the area. Skin cells drain and release fluids. Thus, leading to a smoother skin appearance.
Essential Oils - Essential oils like grapefruit are thought to increase circulation in the area applied and lead to removing fluid, resulting in smoother skin appearance.
Hydrotherapy - is a cellulite treatment method that removes toxins. For example, a hot sauna or steam bath. Both increase the circulation and remove toxins, leading to smoother skin.
Herbal Treatments - Herbal methods are another alternative proven successful for some. This includes various herbal preparation and herbal wraps.
Exercise & Dieting - Begin with reducing saturated fats and cholesterol in the diet. Add more fruits and vegetables to daily meals. Drink water to remove toxins out of the body. Exercise for 20 minutes a day, at least 3 times per week. Include exercises that target areas with cellulite. Start with a few squats, lunges, stretches, stair stepping, bicycle riding.
Roller Massage - Roller massage increases circulation in the affected area. This deep massage method reduces fatty cell deposits. However, you will still have to watch your diet and continue exercising to keep the cellulite away.
Skin Brushing- Brush the skin after taking a shower or bath. Brushing the skin helps to stimulate blood flow and improve circulation and eliminate dead skin cells. Thus, resulting in a smoother skin appearance in the area.
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
