Popular food blogger, Siri Daly, (Siriously Delicious) is the author of Siriously Delicious: 100 Nutritious (and Not So Nutritious) Simple Recipes for the Real Home Cook. This cookbook follows current trends, featuring recipes that are not only simple, but also for dishes that both children and adults actually want to eat.

One of the things that makes this cookbook appealing is that the author includes stories and vignettes – many humorous - that bring out her cute personality, and that readers can relate to. So, besides excellent recipes, this cookbook is an entertaining read. The photographs are beautiful and mouthwatering, and most cooks will want to try almost everything in the book. There is something for everyone here – vegetarian, chicken, beef, lamb, pork, side dishes, cookies, kid-friendly, etc. Avocado toast is trendy, and Siri adds an egg-in-a-hole to the toast – very appealing. The Quick Chicken Masala is delicious, as is the Manchego Summer Squash Gratin. At our house, the Cheesy Green Rice Casserole was a hit; it is perfect to serve with grilled or pan-fried meats and poultry and is one easy dish that will become a go-to.

The recipes are written in such a way that they are easy to follow and they turn out picture perfect. Both beginning and experienced cooks will enjoy making these recipes, and many are suitable for kids to help.

This is a fun cookbook to have on the shelf, and there are enough recipes to keep cooks busy for dozens of meals. It is highly recommended.
