Being busy is just an accepted part of a woman’s life in today’s world. In fact, I haven’t met anyone in years who isn’t busy—really busy! So, since most of us have extremely full and overflowing agendas on any given day, putting meals on the table (or in a lunch box or in someone’s hand as they scoot out the door) is just one of many important tasks that must be accomplished.

Most of us know at least one woman who seems extremely organized: her clothes are always perfectly pressed, her home is always immaculate, she has healthy and beautiful flowers in her yard (no weeds), and she has the most green and lush lawn on the block! A woman I know, who is exactly this way, even has no problem getting meals on the table at precisely 6:00 p.m. I haven’t learned this woman’s secrets for her spotless home, perfect clothes, or beautiful yard (although I’m sure you can easily get up to speed by reading the articles on BellaOnline in each of these categories), but I did learn that she prepares six identical meals each week. By doing this, she never has to wonder what’s for dinner, and her husband and children know what they’ll be eating on any given day. B-o-r-i-n-g! (By the way, for the seventh meal, she insists that her husband take her out to dinner!)

I don’t know about you, but even though I have important daily tasks in many areas, I want to make my meals interesting and exciting; too many repeats make for very boring meals. There are so many good recipes out there that aren’t time consuming, I say, “Why not add a little variety!”

My goal for the Quick Cooking web site at BellaOnline is to help all of you who are busy accomplish Quick meals that are delicious, healthy, fun, eye-appealing, and innovative!

To some, it just means dishes that are Fast to Fix. To others, it may mean minimum hands-on time using appliances such as slow cookers and automatic bread bakers. Make Ahead is yet another great way to accomplish Quick Cooked Meals; my weekly articles will discuss all of the above types of Quick Cooking and also modules, homemade mixes, and dishes that can be made in bulk and frozen. I’ll also include a “Timesaving Tip of the Week.”

If you’re interested in receiving the weekly Quick Cooking Newsletter which will notify you whenever I’ve posted a new article, recipe, timesaving tip, or updated the Quick Cooking website, please sign up in the “Free Newsletter” box at the right or at the bottom of this article; just type in your email address. You will then receive a confirmation email to make sure you really want the newsletter and that your spam filter will let it through. At BellaOnline we take your privacy seriously: We don’t ask you for any personal information and your email address will never be sold or given to anyone (not even to me or any of the other editors on the site). If you don’t like it for some reason, you may unsubscribe at any time.
