Berenstain Bears Series

Guest Author - Taisha Turner

Stan and Jan Berenstain write the Berenstain Bears series. The Berenstains tackle many family and school issues. Plus, many first experiences in a childís life. They write on a variety of subjects. Too much junk food, too much tv, messy room, moving day and trouble with money are a few of the subjects.

The Berenstains create the Berenstain Bear family. They live in a tree house in Bear country. There are a Mama and Papa with two bear cubs. The bear cubs are Brother Bear and Sister Bear. The cubís ages are between four and eight just like target readers.

The picture books are popular. Each book deals with an issue of concern to children. Use the books to open an exchange on the subject. The books help children learn how to deal with their feelings.

Stan and Jan Berenstain interject lots of humor in the thirty-two page books. Papa Bear usually does something funny. Find a book in the Berenstain Bears series. There is surely one or two of interest to your family.
