Page SetUp Dialog Box - Excel

The Page Set-up Dialog Box in Excel provides you with options to help you control the lay out of your printed report. The dialog box can be activated using two methods. One through the main menu system and the other from the Print Preview feature.

To access it from the main menu:
• Select Page SetUp from the File menu

To access it from the Print Preview feature:
• Press the SetUp button at the top of the Print Preview window

There are 4 tabs located within the Page SetUp dialog box.
• Page – Options on the Page tab allow you to set the orientation, scaling, and select the paper size and print quality
• Margins – Options on the Margins tab allow you to manipulate the size of the top, bottom, left and right margins and the size of the header and footer margins. You can also choose to center the print both horizontally and vertically from this page.
• Header/Footer – options on the Header/Footer tab allow you to establish custom headings and footers for you printed document.
• Sheet – Options on the Sheet tab allow you to establish the print range and the row and column ranges that you want to have repeated on each page of the printed report. There are also some additional print options including your choices for printing comments contained on your worksheet. It should be noted that the options on the sheet tab are not available in the Page SetUp dialog box when it is activated from the Print Preview feature.

All of these options combined provide you with powerful control over your printed documents.
