Ballet - Advanced Allegro Finale 53 - 58

For ages 13 and older, and as a daily lesson plan of selected allegro combinations for mature male and female ballet dancers.

For the young teen expect 3 years to master the technique. The introduction to the advanced syllabi is here.

If possible, now is the time to have a piano accompanist for classes, for the flexibility live music can lend to the moment's need in teaching.

Advanced Allegro 53 - 58

53. Temps de Flesche
preparation: from corner 3, facing corner 1 with RF pointed back, arms seconde
A. step fwd on RF, swing L leg en avant in grand battement
B. push off RF and developpé R leg fwd as L leg comes down,
arms 5th en haut on kick and developpé
C. step fwd on LF and continue through B.
repeat all from corner 4 to corner 2

54. Posé turns
endedans:
preparation: in corner 3, spotting corner 1, point RF to corner 2
A. turn endedans on RF to corner 1
B. continue turns across floor toward corner 1,
arms open to low seconde, and close 5th en avant
repeat from corner 4 to corner 2
endehors:
preparation: in corner 3, spotting corner 1, point RF to corner 2
A. step down on RF and turn endehors on LF,
arms open and close - continue across floor to corner 1
B. repeat from corner 4 to corner 2

55. Petit tours
preparation: from corner 3 to corner 1, spotting corner 1, RF pointed to corner 2
A. continuous half turns (clockwise) , facing corner 4 and corner 2 with body, spotting corner 1
B. feet remain in close 1st position, arms low
repeat (counter-clockwise) from corner 4 to corner 2 spotting corner 2

56. Deux emboité entournant, assemblé coupé
preparation: from corner 3 to corner 1, RF points to corner 2, spot corner 1
A. 2 emboités (clockwise) to corner 1 - step R, LF front of R ankle, hop on L,
RF front of L ankle
B. spring down in 5th facing corner 2
continue A. & B. across to corner 1
repeat [counter-clockwise] from corner 4 to corner 2 - spotting corner 2
arms open slightly to 2nd and close on assemblé

57. Sauté Basque
preparation: face 5, 5th position RF front, arms 2nd
A. step to 8 with RF, arms down
B. swing L leg to 2nd facing 7 and turning around to 5 again by pushing off RF
and bringing R foot up to left knee - arms up, over, and down, land on LF
continue A. & B. across to 8
repeat to the left from 8 to 6

58. Temps levé in arabesque, glissade, sauté basque, glissade
preparation: face 5, 5th position, RF front, arms low
A. temps levé in 2nd arabesque to 8
B. glissade back to 6 and sauté basque to 6
C. glissade to 6, facing 5 and repeat all to 6
