Rose Window by Jon Yusof

Jon Yusof has recently published a trio of tatting booklets, "Elegant Tatting Gems" 2011, "Tatting with Rings (around Cabone Rings)" 2009, "Tatted Snowflakes Collection" 2008. Each of these half-size booklets is 8" x 5.75" (21x14.5cm). Both photos of the lace and the diagrams are in gorgeous color. See book reviews: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art4199.asp

She also shares a pattern with us called Rose Window. This pattern uses all the basic tatting techniques plus the split ring, josephine ring and tatting reverse order double stitches (RODS.) It is also a good exercise to practice climbing out from a center ring through a mock picot into a split ring or a split chain.

ROSE WINDOW ©Jon Yusoff 2011 Pattern is worked with two shuttles. Pattern is worked in three rounds. The rounds in the charts are shown in Yellow – Round 1, Green – Round 2 and Blue – Round 3.
