For the three seasons, Arrested Development aired on Fox, it developed a cult following and much critical acclaim. But alas, that wasn't enough to keep it on the air.
This week it was announced that all 53 episodes of the comedy have been simultaneously licensed to the cable networks G4 and HDNet, for a three-year period. Episodes will begin airing on G4 beginning in September, with hi-definition airings going to HDNet at the same time.
Though Arrested Development ended its run with a finale on February 10 of this year, it will have one last hurrah at this year's Primetime Emmy's. The show is up for four awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series for Will Arnett and the big one, Outstanding Comedy Series.
In the United Kingdom, BBC Two picked up the series in September 2004, and has finished airing the second season. It also airs around the world from Canada to Australia to Argentina, currently in first-run airings.
