Teen Fashion Basics for Spring

Guest Author - Dominique Jordan

Spring has finally arrived! The time has come once again to soak up some sun and indulge in the smell of freshly cut grass, the soft wind blowing through your hair, and the high-pitched sounds of birds happily chirping away at the sight of the new season.

But with changing weather comes the changing of style. Spring also brings lots of unpredictable weather and you should be prepared for it. Your wardrobe should function like the seasons of the year and change to suit your needs and comfort.

Hereís how to stay cool and fashionable during this warm and unpredictable season.

Spring and summer clothing is often bright and colorful to match the feeling of the seasons. They remind us of fun times like vacations, happy memories, and outdoor field trips.

The spring inspires us to be in a good mood and we often reflect our good moods by wearing bright colors. Unlike in the winter, where people are wearing dull colors to reflect the uninspired and cold mood of the season, the spring time brings out the best in all of us.

A good idea for a chic but inexpensive wardrobe is to find a color scheme that you are going to stick with and buy clothes only within that scheme. That way, everything you buy will match everything else.

You can choose half a dozen colors that look good together. Spring is usually associated with warm colors, so be sure to choose a color scheme that ranges from red, orange, yellow, or any bright hue of any color that is usually dark.

One of the most fun things about spring fashion is the various possibilities for accessories.

For guys, brightly colored and uniquely textured shirts worn with shorts, or shirts tucked in or loose, not only help to keep you cool but look very chic.

For girls, skirts can lend themselves to make an outfit pop and they come in so many colors and textures these days that the possibilities are endless. You also will want to make sure that you have warm and practical sunglasses and hats. These can come in sets and be mixed and matched.

Dressing for the spring isnít really hard if you put your mind into what you are wearing. It can be very fun and inexpensive. With the right accessories and the right outfit, any teen can look cool and chic during spring time!
