Quick Ideas to Add Content to Your Ezine

As you sit down to write your newsletter or ezine, you may consider beefing it up. Sometimes after several months of writing, you see the pages of your document decrease. It’s not that the information is not as important as it once was, it’s the repetition. You need a fresh look at your newsletter or ezine from your subscriber’s point of view. In your next issue here are a few ways to add life to the document:

Interview an Expert
Pick an expert in your newsletter or ezine genre and highlight them in the next issue. Even though you are in the same niche, each person’s technique is unique. Share more about someone you know or really want to know about. More than likely, your readers will enjoy the fresh perspective. Your expert can also speculate on new products on the horizon. He or she can also recommend tried and true products.

How-To Section
Is there a new process that you can highlight? Use your ezine or newsletter to explain a step by step procedure within your niche. By doing this you become more of an expert in your field. Everyone likes to learn something new. Having a how-to in your ezine or newsletter will entice the subscriber to read it cover to cover.

Interesting Content
We are all quite busy. What can set your ezine or newsletter aside from other ones is a few quick hitters. These are things that someone can review and digest quickly that are still very interesting and attention getting. Choose from adding:
• Top Ten – David Letterman Style
• Humorous Stories or Tasteful Jokes – When adding these keep in mind your subscriber base and who you are trying to attract as a new subscriber
• Recipes – If your newsletter or ezine is not food related, use a recipe that highlights the current time of year or holiday.
• Did you knows – Helpful tips within your newsletter or ezine niche
• Giveaway – Make a fun quiz or trivia game and have your readers participate. You can giveaway one of your services for free or another type of product.
• Quotes are great in any niche. Most readers like to read a profound quotation.

The list above should give you some good ideas. When adding things to your newsletter or ezine, you don’t have to change the format or do an overhaul on what you have been writing. Adding a few new features will give your newsletter or ezine a quick boost.
