Personalized Adoption Greeting Cards

Guest Author - Brandii Lacey

As I was looking for an adoption card the other day at the gift store, it struck me once again at how there wasn’t a wide selection to choose from. I was happy to see that the store had about five or six different cards to choose from on adoption. However, as someone who’s a bit on the picky side, I longed for isles of cards that the store had for other occasions.

Thanks to twitter, I just found out about a talented woman who creates personalized adoption greeting cards. Lindsay is the owner of ADOPTIONcards. She started making personalized adoption cards after her sister adopted two children from Russia, according to her twitter profile. When I clicked on the link to visit her card shop, I was amazed for two reasons. First, I was amazed that someone was actually specializing in adoption cards. We all know that many traditional card stores don’t carry the widest selection of adoption cards, if any. Second, I was amazed by the beauty of the cards. They are bright, colorful and contain heartfelt messages that those going through adoption can easily relate to.

The ADOPTIONcard shop is only a few months old, but already has a good selection of cards for those in different stages of adoption. For example, she currently has cards in the following categories:
  • Adoption/Gotcha Day
  • Congratulations
  • Support
  • Thank You
She creates each card as it’s ordered, making sure every card truly has that personal touch for the family it’s being sent to.

Another impressive fact about ADOPTIONcards is that if you wish to take a “Thank You” card design and turn it into a “Gotcha Day” design, she’s happy to accommodate your wishes. This takes “personalized adoption cards” to the next level. I’m sure this will be appreciated by families going through the adoption process, and those that have completed their adoptions.

You can follow ADOPTIONcards on twitter, and get the latest updates as new products are added. For more information, visit: www.etsy.com/shop/ADOPTIONcards?ref=top_trail.
