Focus on Heaven Sent Adoption Services
Realizing a huge need for such services, Shelia Davis opened Heaven Sent in 1999 as an adoption referral and networking business, where she networked with adoption attorneys and agencies to help match hopeful adoptive parents with expectant parents making adoption plans. Davis built her business on her Christian beliefs, bills attorneys or agencies at the time of a match, but does not receive payment until after placement.

Heaven Sent became a licensed adoption agency in 2004. Since then, Davis and her staff have provided adoption education to adoptive families interested in direct-placement adoption in Michigan. The agency offers home studies, counseling, placement, and post-placement services to Michigan families. Heaven Sent provides networking with adoption attorneys and agencies throughout the United States through its referral program.

While Heaven Sent’s full adoption services are currently limited to Michigan families, families with home studies from other agencies may be eligible for Heaven Sent’s referral program. Through the agency’s referral program, a hopeful adoptive family potentially has access to adoption attorneys and agencies all over the United States. The best part is that registration is free. According to the information on the agency’s web site, Heaven Sent does bill the agency or attorney working with the potential birth parents $1000, which is collected from the adoptive family at placement. According to Shelia Davis, Founder/Director, if a planned adoption falls through, the adoptive family is NOT responsible for her agency’s referral fee. Keep in mind, though, that each adoption attorney and agency has its own policies regarding failed placements and financial responsibilities.

Of course, no adoption agency would be in existence without birth parents who make the difficult choice of adoption. Heaven Sent provides a wide range of services for expectant parents facing an unplanned pregnancy. These services include counseling, education, legal services, and, if requested, adoption planning. Using referrals and networking, Heaven Sent has access to counseling and legal services for expectant parents in most states. If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy and want to explore the option of adoption or other abortion alternatives, feel free to call Heaven Sent toll-free at 1-877-583-0990, or may contact a staff member via e-mail to info@heavensentadopt.com. If you are in Michigan, they will be able to provide services directly to you. If you are in another geographical location, they will do their best to refer you to a caring, compassionate professional in your area.

So, if you live in Michigan, Heaven Sent Adoption Services may be able to help you create or enlarge your family. If you live in another state, but have a completed home study, you may want to consider utilizing Heaven Sent’s referral program and networking services to build or enlarge your family.

The agency’s regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Eastern time; and hopeful adoptive parents may contact Heaven Sent at Post Office Box 166, Fulton, MI 49052, phone 269-778-9939, fax 269-778-9066, during regular business hours, or via e-mail to hsas@heavensentadopt.com.
