Sweet Honey and The Lips!
First, your luscious lips. It's a deliciously effective lip balm that is sure to sweeten your days!
Sweet Honey and The Lips, A Balm for Dryness
(Preparation Time: 15 minutes)
What You'll Need:
- 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp. Honey
- 3/4 tsp. Beeswax, grated
- 1/2 tsp. Cocoa Butter
- 1 Vitamin E Capsule
- 2 drops of the essential oils of your choice*
*May I suggest one drop each of Tea Tree and Lavender? With powerful antiseptic qualities, this blend is great for healing chapped lips. Or try Orange and Lemon, for a naturally sweet and fruity flavor! Pomegranate is a good choice as well.
How to Make Your Lip Balm:
In a small saucepan, melt oil, honey, wax and cocoa butter over low heat. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in contents of the Vitamin E capsule, and the essential oil. Pour into the container(s) of your choice.
Now let’s take a look at your skin, did you know that minus the beeswax, you can use the same blend for dry cracked skin? Yes it’s true. Honey is one of the most hydrating products for skin you can use. It not only hydrates but if softens and moisturizes as well.
You can actually use honey straight from your pantry and apply it to your skin. That’s right, a honey mask sits on your pantry shelf for use anytime you need it. Allow it to stay on your skin for about 10-15 minutes and them remove with warm water and you’ll feel the difference in the softness of your face.
When you couple Honey along with Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter, the beauty and health of your skin is bound to go to another level. Now, your lips and your face are even more kissable. That's it for this week. Join us in the Fragrance forum for great talk and ideas. We'd love to have your input.
