If you send out holiday cards every winter, consider shopping for them at the American Lung Association website this year. You can order Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's cards at the ALA's holiday store, and twenty percent of what you spend supports the group's programs.
There are 90 designs to choose from, and you can have your choice of verse, font, and ink color on most of them. You may also include text to appear below the inside verse, and the American Lung Association will print the matching envelopes with your return address for an added fee.
How will twenty percent of your purchase help the American Lung Association?
Your money will support the ALA's lung research and education and efforts to improve environmental health for everyone. The American Lung Association is a non-profit organization committed to improving lung health. According to its website, it is the oldest voluntary health organization in the United States.
The American Lung Association addresses treatment options for hay fever, asthma, lung cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder and raises money for lung research. It also raises awareness of these diseases. ALA community programs include the elementary-level Open Airways for Schools, annual Asthma Walk fundraiser, Teens Against Tobacco Use, an annual State of the Air Report. The group advocates for federal, state, and local regulations to protect lung health and helped support passage of the Clean Air Act.
Please click on the link below to visit the ALA holiday card store. If you're going to buy holiday cards anyway, why not purchase them from an organization dedicated to helping asthmatics and other lung patients?
