Are you ready for the new year? It's time to make sure your Ezine or Newsletter is ready for January. Along with preparing information that pertains to your niche, add a little flavor in your ezine by inserting fun ideas with holidays.
As always, there are a ton of January ideas for your Ezine or Newsletter. The best idea for using them is to incorporate them into your normal style and flair. You can add a word search or game that matches the fun holiday or just leave it as fun facts for the reader to enjoy. Here are a few of the highlights:
New Year's Day
New Year's Day marks the beginning of the new year. Most people celebrate the holiday by enjoying the day with family/friends, watching football and reflecting on their goals for the new year. Use your niche to highlight and focus on what you plan to bring to them in your newsletter or ezine for the coming year. Even if you don't know that yet, let them know you are working on it and value their input in making it useful to them. Another good idea is to survey your readers during this time of reflection. Ask about what do they want to see/what worked well or not so well. Don't make it too long but use good questions to really help you plan.
Bubble Bath Day
January 8th is National Bubble Bath Day. If your newsletter or ezine is about bath products or relaxation, you can really do a lot of things with this. Think about using as a giveaway or contest. Send out a tall bottle of bubble bath to your 100th reader on your Facebook Fan Page. There are many things you can do with it.
Make Your Dreams Come True Day
January 13th is Make Your Dreams Come True Day. It's a perfect time for interaction with your readers. Think about what your readers really want and incorporate that into your day's celebration. Another good reason to survey your readers.
Rev Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday
His birthday is actually on January 15th although it is celebrated on the third Monday of every January. Use your research skills to incorporate Dr. King into your newsletter or ezine. Utilizing peace and goodwill toward others is especially important on this day.
January 24th is National Compliment Day. Find a reader who has done something spectacular and celebrate him or her. Compliment your readers for enjoying your newsletter or ezine every month. Show them how much you appreciate them.
January 31st is Backwards Day. Find a crazy way to celebrate to honor the day. Do you have a certain format that your newsletter or ezine always follows? Mix it up a bit to throw them off. There are many fun things you can do with Backwards Day.
Want more? A quick search of fun holidays can bring you a variety of ideas to make your ezine or newsletter fun to read. The purpose is to not burn out your readers but to make it something that is enjoyable to read each time your ezine or newsletter hits their email or mailbox.
