Gloria Gaynor is an inspiration to all of us. A few years ago, she was involved in a bad accident that almost took her life. It kept her in the hospital for a while and there she realized how empty her life was without God. She accepted Jesus into her heart and became a different person. I was honored to interview her for you here at Bella Online with the use of our computers. She was currently in Brazil at the time of this interview. She has released a new album of Christian inspired songs entitled "I Wish You Love" and I think you’ll enjoy it very much.

GLORIA GAYNOR INTERVIEW!!!:

Jenna: When you were in an accident what was the one thing that happened that
brought you into the light with Jesus?

Gloria: What brought me into the light with Jesus when I was in an accident was recognition that I was not in control of anything and He is in control of everything.


Jenna: What is it exactly that keeps you focused with the Lord?

Gloria: His faithfulness that I have tried and found true time and time again have kept me focused with the Lord.

Jenna: How would you describe your relationship with Jesus in your everyday
life?

Gloria: I strive daily to become closer to being as committed to Him as he is to me.


Jenna: When you first changed the lyrics to "I Will Survive" were you afraid
that people would poke fun at your new found freedom?

Gloria: I wasn't afraid of being ridiculed, I was only concerned that their lack of understanding and/or spiritual awareness would keep them from sharing my freedom.

Jenna: A lot of people have focused on your being born again as "just finding
religion", how is your salvation and your relationship with Jesus different
than religion?

Gloria: My relationship with the Lord is different from religion in that it is person to person. Religion if followed closely can be your guide and governor, but Christ is also my guard, my Savior, my redeemer, personal counselor, the only one who knows and wants only what's best for me, is able and willing to give it to me and has no selfish or ulterior motives. Oh you don't want to get me started on all the different facets of the answer to this question. (smile)

Jenna: If you had the chance to speak to thousands of women about the grace of
Jesus what would you say?

Gloria: I would say that although the grace of Jesus is absolutely free and you couldn't buy it if you wanted to, it's the most precious and expensive gift anyone has ever bought you; that it has already been bought for everyone, but must be prized above all others to be received. You can't have Jesus or His grace just because you wake up one Thursday morning with nothing better to do. I would say it's the one thing you don't want to leave earth without.

Jenna: If you could speak to young people just starting out in the music industry what would be the one gift you would want to give them?

Gloria: The wisdom to seek truth in all areas and surrender to it.

Jenna: How has your life been changed since inviting the Lord Jesus Christ into
your heart?

Gloria: My life has changed completely. I don't go to or enjoy the same places or activities I used to, I don't associate with or enjoy some of the same people I used to, I don't want or need some of the same things I used to. My standards, priorities, goals, motivations, desires, inclinations, and vision have all been changed and elevated. I have a greater since of self worth, I am secure, I am at peace, because I know I am accepted, forgiven, redeemed and loved with an undying, unchanging, unconditional love.

Jenna: What do you hope will happen with this new album " I Wish You Love" due
out on September 10, 2002?

Gloria: With the new album I hope that I gain a huge fan base and that they gain enough admiration for me and trust in me to help me lead them to the source of my faith, Christ Jesus.

Jenna: In addition to being a top seller, would you like to see this album
bring other people to the Lord?

Gloria: Yes, that is the ultimate underlying goal of my entire career.

Jenna: Are there any parting comments you would like to share with the women
and men who are reading this?
